We coordinate timely referrals and lab/imaging requisitions, with clear and effective follow-up.
Special Note:
If a patient has extensive care needs and would benefit more from an annual fee or retainer model, this option is open for discussion on a case-by-case basis.
Appointment Duration & Adjustments
Most people require a one-hour appointment, especially new patients or those with more than two concerns. The length of the appointment will be adjusted to suit your needs.
For example, if you book a 30-minute slot but the concern(s) disclosed require 60 minutes, you will be informed of the adjustment. You can then decide whether to proceed with the new length (and fee) or to cancel.
Follow-Up Care
The cost of each appointment includes one follow-up via phone or email (maximum 15 minutes) for reviewing:
Blood work
Test results
Imaging
Treatment follow-up
If additional follow-up is needed beyond 15 minutes, an in-person appointment will be scheduled and charged accordingly.
Pricing
Yearly Annual Fee Versus Pay Per Service
Thorough discussions occurred regarding the fee structure for the clinic. The options available are an Annual Fee/Retainer, Subscriptions, or Pay Per Service. Regardless of the fee structure, Thriving Health is not beholden to one over the other.
Thriving Health has decided to trial the Pay Per Service option. The main reason is that this typically results in less cost for most people, who may only need to see a medical professional once or twice per year. We do not want patients feeling like they have to get their money’s worth by booking appointments needlessly — something the annual fee structure can encourage.
Pay Per Service also helps open up more availability in the schedule for patients to see the NP more expediently.
Retainer/ Annual Fee Option is available upon request with the NP.
Booking Requirements
Please book your appointment based on the length of time needed to address your concern(s). If you're unsure, feel free to call Thriving Health for guidance.
All appointments must include a stated concern, symptom, or condition when booking. Jane App and the Medical Office Assistant cannot complete bookings with vague or private reasons (e.g., “I prefer not to say”).
